| Previous Osaka races: | Has not previously competed but it has been on the cards for a while. | |
| Reasons for Competing: | Both Trent and I are tangeld up in the marine industry, so it is both a personal challenge as well as being an opportunity to find solutions to probelms in long distance racing and crising. | |
| Expectations: | Lots of head scratching and we probably go through a few sets of luck dice. | |
| Looking forward to: | Getting to the finish and presenting a minimal list of 'things broken' to my understanding wife. | |
| Years sailing: | 15 years | |
| Favourite waters: | Port Lincoln | |
| Favourite sailing experience: | Whitsunday deliveries poled out headsail, trolling line out the back and a good mix of stories on board. | |
| Sailing Achievements: | Several Sydney to Hobarts and east coast regattas | |
| Additional Comments: | I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and meeting more people in the same situation. |

| Why did you choose to compete? | To test myself and its something I have always wanted to do. I have built the yacht with Jon Sayer for the race and I have always liked the race. | |
| Expectations: | Some very long days and asking myself why we do this. But a great finish. | |
| Looking forward to: | When we get past Oz and the finish. | |
